For myself, I don't have the YP-P2 in MTP mode. I switched it to a UMS device (ie just like any normal usb storage device). I had to re-flash the firmware on my YP-P2. It wasn't that scary an affair. Re-flashing it allows you to turn it from an MTP device to a UMS one. I prefer this in general anyway. It probably goes without saying, that the device needs to be mounted for the nautilus script to fully play out. Nevertheless, I missed that detail the first time around.
